Step 1: Prioritize Early Sacred Water Fountains to Build Resources
Your first priority when entering the Trial should be to identify and Path of Exile 2 Currency clear Sacred Water Fountain rooms early. These fountains are the best way to build up your Sacred Water supply, which fuels everything else you do in the Trial—from buying power-ups to restoring Honor or unlocking better rewards.

Why Early? Starting strong with more Sacred Water gives you flexibility later. It allows you to purchase Boons before tougher fights, restore Honor if you take damage, or craft high-quality Reward Keys.

How to Spot Them? Learn to recognize layout patterns or visual cues that indicate a fountain room. Over time, these patterns become easier to spot.

When you approach a fountain room:

Prepare by using any movement or damage buffs to clear enemies quickly.

If you have crowd control skills, use them to minimize damage taken.

Don’t rush blindly; clearing fountains efficiently is better than fast but costly attempts that reduce your Honor.

Step 2: Evaluate Merchant Rooms Carefully—High Reward but Risky
Merchant rooms are often treasure troves of Boons and Relics, offering buffs that can turn the tide of difficult encounters. However, they might contain elite enemies or traps.

Assess Your Current Status: If your Honor is high, health is good, and you have strong skills active, these rooms are usually worth the risk.

Consider Your Build: Some Boons or Relics synergize better with certain builds. For example, a melee build might benefit more from a defense-related Boon, while a caster might prioritize damage buffs.

Budget Sacred Water: Avoid spending all your Sacred Water on Boons early, or you might be left vulnerable later. Save some for Honor restoration or Reward Keys.

If the merchant’s offerings aren’t helpful or your status is precarious, consider skipping and Path of Exile 2 Currency for sale returning later if possible.
