This theme gives your forums a portal style layout without the hastle of
installing mods or making any changes to the important core phpBB2 files. This
theme came from the need for a portal layout for the impatient few who can't
wait for the official phpBB2 portal which is promised after the next release of
phpBB2. Many forum admins don't have the time or technical background to make
their own portal or even to use one of the many portal scripts which are very
stable and functional. However, everyone will benifit by the added functions of
this theme. The quick search in my opinion is very handy. I hope you find this
usefull. If you have any questions please post them to the release post for
this theme on phpBB.com.

To install unzip to your forum /templates/ directory. It should create a
subPortal subdirectory. Then go to your administration panel and add the style.

Copyright for the original subSilver and this subPortal theme means basically
not to pass this off as your own work. It took many hours to create so please
leave the credits you see in the files. No other copyright info needs to be
displayed.

Modification Notes:

The left column is produced in the overall_header.tpl. I have placed comments
before each block to make it easier for you to find and make your own changes.
It's simple HTML.

The links and banners sections are really the only places you need to modify.
You can remove a block completely by simply deleting the code starting and
ending with the comments that identify it. So if you don't want banners, just
delete the whole section.
